Winton Nguyen

Tri-City Voice Sports has named Milpitas High track stud Winton Nguyen Male Athlete of the Month for the month of June. Nguyen, who won the 400, 200 and the triple jump events at the De Anza Division Santa Clara Valley Championships this past May, still has another year of school after completing his junior year.

After Nugyen qualified first in the 400 meters (49.46) at the CCS track trials, he took a couple minutes to answer some of our burning questions. Here's what he had to say. ...

Rachael Kroneder

Tri-City Voice Sports has named Rachael Kroneder, a sophomore first baseman for Chabot Community College Gladiator's softball team in Hayward, Female Athlete of the Month for June based on her accomplishments over the previous month.

During the 2008-09 school year, Kroneder was female athlete of the year at Chabot and she received the most valuable player award for Coast Conference North Division softball teams of 2009.

Kroneder is the daughter of Rich and Linda Kroneder. She attended Amador High School in Pleasanton before enrolling at Chabot.
