Family Day at the Park

Families are invited to celebrate a morning of fun as the City of Newark Recreation and Community Services Department presents ÒFamily Day at the Park.Ó Take part in arts & crafts, egg dying, egg hunts, games, inflatable bouncers and a Community Resource Faire.

The Resource Faire includes LOV Newark, Newark Recreation and Community Services Department, Alameda County Fire, Newark Police Department, Tri-City Health Center, Boy Scout Pack 441, Asian Art Foundation, Newark Public Works Department, 4CÕs of Alameda County, Viola Blythe, Republic Services, CESE Smart Solar Program, and African American Cultural and Historical Society.

An open house at the Community Center will inform parents about the full time, licensed child care center for preschoolers. Children ages 5 to 12 are encouraged to bring their bike and helmet to participate in a free bicycle safety course sponsored by the Newark Police Department.

Bring an Easter basket and camera for the egg hunt; start times are 9:30 a.m. for ages three and under, 10:00 a.m. for four to five-year-olds, 10:30 a.m. for kindergarten through first graders, and 11:00 a.m. for second through fifth graders.
