Friends for Life

Submitted By Craig Cable

The secrets of lasting friendships will be explored at Lifetree Cafˇ on Tuesday, April 1. The program, titled, ÒFriends for Life: 10 buddies. 38 years. 1 week a year,Ó features the filmed story of a group of guys who have remained friends 20 years after graduation from middle school.

ÒOur lives have gone lots of directions,Ó says Rodney Stewart, one of the original groups of middle-school buddies. ÒMarriages, divorces, addictions, the death of family members, successes and failures--weÕve walked through them together. We have what many people wish they had: longstanding friendships.Ó

Participants in the Lifetree program will have the opportunity to discuss the factors involved in making and keeping friends, as well as the benefits of longtime friendships.

Lifetree Cafˇ is a place where people gather for conversation on life and faith in a casual coffeehouse-type setting.
