A 47-point second half by San Francisco State spelled doom for the Cal State East Bay men's basketball team, which fell to the Gators, 81-57, on the road. The Pioneers (7-20, 4-17 CCAA) trailed by three at halftime, but they shot just 34 percent from the field in the second half as the Gators (13-11, 11-10 CCAA) took control of the game. Gabe Kindred and Nick Grieves led East Bay with 17 points each in the loss.

Cal State East Bay junior Nick Grieves scored a career-high 26 points and set a single-game school record by knocking down eight three-pointers in an 86-77 loss to Sonoma State on the final night of the 2013-14 regular season. The Pioneers finish the season 7-21 and 4-18 in CCAA play, while the Seawolves end up at 7-19 and 6-16 in conference action.
"I have been very lucky to have a team like this in my first season," said head coach Gus Argenal. "We talk daily about culture, character, and brotherhood, and our five seniors have left a lasting legacy of what a Pioneer basketball player should represent."Ê
"I want to thank my team for all their hard work," added Argenal, "and especially the seniors for their heart and belief all season."
