Bank robbery suspect on the loose Ð public asked for help

On Monday, January 13, 2014, a bank robbery occurred at the US Bank located at 38980 Paseo Padre Parkway in the CityÕs Downtown area.

At approximately 10:25 a.m. a lone suspect entered the bank and handed a robbery demand letter to one of the employees. The employee complied with the note and the suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a black male adult, 25-35 years of age, standing 5Õ9Ó-6Õ01Ó tall, 175 Ð 195 lbs., medium build and hadÊshort cropped hair. He was last seen leaving the area on foot in a southbound direction wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a logo over the left breast area and a gray lining in the hood. No weapons were used or seen during the incident.

Several officers and detectives flooded the area in an attempt to locate the fleeing suspect. Video surveillance at the bank captured the incident and we are asking for the publicÕs assistance to help identify the suspect.
