The Nutcracker Ballet comes to San Leandro

The magic and sparkle of the holidays comes alive this season at the San Leandro Performing Arts Center with two performances of the Nutcracker Ballet on December 7 and 8.

The Nutcracker is produced by The Conservatory of Classical Ballet Ð San LeandroÕs own Pre-Professional ballet company, under the direction of Ann Fisher. The company, made up of accomplished student dancers from San Leandro and neighboring areas, will be joined by professional dancers Derek Sakakura, Michael Lowe, and Bay Area legend choreographer Carlos Carvajal for this production.

Special Post Show ÒKingdom of SweetsÓ reception for ballet fans 12 years old and under will take place in the theatre directly following the matinee performance on Sunday, December 8. The reception will feature a meet and greet with the dancers still in costume, a selection of ÒsweetÓ refreshments, photo opportunities with favorite Nutcracker characters, and more.

The Nutcracker Ballet is an unforgettable experience for all ages and a wonderful holiday celebration for the whole family.
