Charity golf tournament benefits charities
Submitted By Joe Camero
The 2013 Waste Management Charity Golf Tournament, held September 4-5 in Hayward hosted more than 200 people, representing a variety of corporations throughout North America. Golf at TPC Stonebrae plus an evening event held at The Claremont raised more than $500,000 for local charities. The money raised will benefit six local charities: Alameda County Community Food Bank, Chabot Space and Science Center, Cypress Mandela Training Center, Friends of Oakland Parks & Rec, The YMCA of the East Bay and the East Bay Community Foundation.
This is the first time the Waste Management Charity Golf Tournament has been held in California.
