Stage 1 Theatre presents ÒLes MiserablesÓ

Submitted By Belinda Maloney

For the first time ever, late last year, the rights for the full-length version of ÒLes MiserablesÓ became available to community theaters, but only for a limited time. Stage 1 Theatre is extremely proud to be one of the few companies that have attained these rights. Based on Victor HugoÕs classic novel, ÒLes MiserablesÓ holds the record for the longest-running musical in the world and continues to thrill and captivate audiences in every corner of the globe. It is a treasured tale about the survival of the human spirit. From the wrongfully accused hero Jean Valjean and his loving daughter Cosette, to the misunderstood heroine Eponine and the relentless Inspector Javert, these characters have proved to be timeless and contemporary in every country and society in which it plays.

ÒLes MiserablesÓ is truly an emotional and uplifting story. The magnificent score features such classic songs as: ÒI Dreamed a Dream,Ó ÒOn My Own,Ó ÒStars,Ó ÒBring Him Home,Ó ÒDo You Hear the People Sing?Ó ÒOne Day More,Ó ÒMaster Of The HouseÓ and many more.
