Friday, August 9
Sometime between 10:30 p.m. on August 4, 2013 and 8:00 a.m. on August 5, 2013 someone entered the victim's garage on the 5200 block of Selma and removed multiple power tools and electronics. There is no suspect info at this time.

At around 3:00 a.m., a road rage incident on Fortner Dr. led to the driver of a motorcycle kicking off the side mirror of another motorist's car. The adult male driver of the motorcycle (27 years old) was arrested for vandalism. Investigated by Officer Dooley.

Saturday, August 10
Officer Sanders and Officer Hamblin investigated two commercial burglaries that occurred in the same shopping complex at the 43400 block of Grimmer Boulevard. The burglaries occurred from August 9, 2013 - August 10, 2013 between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. The suspect(s) smashed the front glass door to gain entry to both businesses. The loss is unknown at this time.

At approximately 2:38 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a "strong armed" robbery that just occurred in the parking lot of 40525 Albrae St. The victim told Dispatch that a black male adult grabbed her gold necklace from her neck before getting into a grey four-door vehicle with a license plate ending in "760." The vehicle was last seen driving southbound on Albrae St and was occupied by several other people.
Officer Sanders was in the area and observed the above described vehicle. Several officers converged and a vehicle stop was conducted. Five people were detained and the robber was positively identified by the victim. The adult male suspect (22 years old/Oakland) was arrested. Additionally, the four other occupants were arrested for robbery. One was an adult male (20 years old/Oakland) and the three others were adult females (24 and 19 years old/Fremont and 20 years old/Oakland). The gold necklace was recovered.

At approximately 10:12 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the area of Decoto Rd/Ozark River Dr. This call started out as a Promiscuous Shooting with multiple callers reporting up to six reports heard. As officers were enroute to the call, the victim called and advised that he had been shot. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim vehicle on Ozark River. The passenger in the vehicle was struck in the arm and the driver suffered a minor wound to the hip. The passenger was transported to Eden Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was treated at the scene. The victims reported that they were traveling west on Decoto Rd when a Black Chrysler 300 with all tinted windows pulled alongside and fired several shots from the passenger window. The victims could provide no suspect description and very little additional information. Investigated by Officer Allsup.

Sunday, August 11
Officers were dispatched to McDonald's on Cushing Rd in regards to a disturbance. The victim told Dispatch that a white male adult, with red hair, threatened him with a black pistol after a small disagreement in the parking lot of McDonald's. Officer Paiva and FTO Baca located a possible suspect parked in the businesses at the south end of Industrial Pl. The victim was transported to the scene and made a positive ID, but then declined to make an arrest. The suspect confessed and Officers recovered the pellet pistol where he had hidden it in a dumpster. The pistol was seized and he was released.

The reporting party called Dispatch to report that three businesses within 39510 Fremont Blvd building had been broken into. CSO Codey and Officer Kwok responded to investigate. Sometime in the last week, the three individual suites were broken into. A fire extinguisher was used to break the glass of the individual suites. Officers were unable to locate all the responsible(s) parties for the other businesses. The loss is still unknown at this time.

Monday, August 12
Fremont Police responded to two armed robberies of gas stations which took place approx 80 minutes apart. The suspect (carrying a handgun) entered into the Shell Station at Stevenson/Farwell, produced the gun and demanded money. The second gas station robbed was the 76 Station located at Ardenwood/84. No suspect vehicle was seen.

Officers were dispatched to a house on the 37100 block of Holly St in regards to a male that entered the home through a window, while the family was present. The homeowner fled but his family was still inside. The suspect was last seen in the kitchen and appeared to be talking to another suspect. Officers were on scene within two minutes and caught an adult male (46 years old/Union City) as he tried to flee onto Oak St. Sergeant Fowlie gathered a team to secure the rest of the family inside the home, from the second suspect. Once the family was safe, a yard-to-yard canine search was initiated utilizing Officer Baca and a Newark Canine with negative results. Investigated by Officer Allsup. Great job by all officers, dispatchers, etc.

Tuesday, August 13
The victim reported that his 1990 black four door Honda Accord was taken from the parking lot of Birch Terrace between August 12, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. and August 13, 2013 at 8:00 a.m.

Between 9:20 a.m. and 2:10 p.m., a residence on the 4300 block of Jessica Circle was burglarized. The homeowner returned home and saw that his garage door was open. The door leading to the inside of the residence had been forced open. There is no loss at this time. It should be noted that earlier in the morning (08-13-2013), the victim's vehicle was burglarized in the parking lot of the Hayward Bart Station where his garage door opener was taken.

Wednesday, August 14
Between 2:30 p.m. on August 13, 2013 and 12:30 p.m., on August 14, 2013, an unknown suspect(s), removed several items without permission from a business at 43200 Christy Street. The suspect(s) used an unknown tool to pry the rear door open. There were obvious pry marks to the rear door. Items taken were home staging decorations and tools.

17 year old victim's mother called FPD to report that her son was beaten and robbed at the skate park yesterday. Three unidentified males tried to steal the victim's friend's backpack. When the victim intervened, he was battered by the three suspects. Investigated by Officer Hartman.

Around 7:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a black male adult, 50's, "tall", wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans exposing himself at the corner of Porter/Sundale. Officers arrived fairly quickly but were unable to locate the suspect.

Victim called to report that his tan 1996 4-door Honda Accord was taken from his work on Encyclopedia Drive sometime between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. without his permission.

Victim on Siward Dr called to report that he sees two Hispanic males in his covered patio that do not have permission to be there. Officers respond but the males flee before officers arrive. The loss was a stereo. Investigated by Officer Wright.

Thursday, August 15
Between 6:30 p.m. on August 14, 2013 and 7:50 a.m. on August 15, 2013, two business suites located within 1860 Mowry Avenue were burglarized. The main access door to each suite was pried open to gain access to each suite. The loss was computer equipment.

Fry's Electronics called FPD as they were watching a male inside the store concealing items in a backpack worn by his 4-5 year old son. Officers arrived and contacted the adult male (38 years old/Salinas) as he left the store and subsequently arrested/cited him for theft. Investigated by Officer Torrico.

Officers responded to a report of a large fight at Mojo's on Peralta Avenue. Officers arrive and during their investigation, it is learned that a fight occurred involving adult females. Officers made contact with two females who appeared to have minor injuries and told officers that the suspects fled prior to police arrival. While trying to investigate this incident, an adult male (33 years old) is contacted and determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself. The male is arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail. Investigated by Officer Luevano and Officer Madsen.
