Hayward Area Historical Society to participate in Blue Star Museums

Submitted By Marcess Owings

The Hayward Area Historical Society has announced the launch of Blue Star Museums, a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,800 museums across America to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day, May 27, through Labor Day, September 2, 2013. Leadership support has been provided by MetLife Foundation through Blue Star Families.

"The Hayward Area Historical Society is honored to be a host to the families and active duty personnel of our nation's military. The history and culture that is our shared birthright owes much to their sacrifice and dedication," said HAHS Interim Executive Director A.T. Stephens.
