Commend Kathryn Hamilton - a participant in the Newark's Adult Co-Ed Volleyball League - and Peter Beireis - Senior Recreation Supervisor - for life saving actions to revive Jesse Leyva who collapsed during a volleyball league playoff game. Kathryn administered chest compressions until Peter, trained in use of the Automated External Defibrillator, used the device to revive Mr. Leyva. Alameda County Fire Department Engine 27 arrived to assume care. Written Communications: Planning Commission referral of a conditional use permit to modify an existing wireless telecommunications facility at 6201 Lafayette Avenue (Newark Jr. High School) Planning Commission referral for a monument sign at 7000-7200 Jarvis Avenue (Mahey Plaza).
