Those receiving at least two votes would be invited to interview with the council on Monday, January 14. A list of questions would be posed to each candidate in a public forum on that date. Based on the outcome of a ranking vote by the council, either the list will be reduced to a smaller candidate pool or a final vote will determine the applicant selected to fill the vacant position. Any candidate receiving at least two votes will be interviewed. Voting by council resulted in six candidates for a final selection interview.
