October 30, 2012 > Student recognition Student recognition Submitted By Trish Harman-Murray The director, Lisa Cole, of COIL (Circle of Independent Learning) Charter School announced today that Anna Eshelman has been named a Commended Student in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2013 competition by taking the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). A National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) spokesperson said, "The young people recognized as Commended Students represent some of the best and brightest minds in the country as demonstrated by their outstanding performance in our highly competitive program."
