Logan's Colts offense put on an impressive display as they met the Washington Huskies on Saturday (October 20), scoring three touchdowns, the defense added two and special teams had one. Because of the great Colt offensive line play, Warren Miles Long was able to rack up 120 yards on the ground and Logan quarterback Jeffrey Prothro was 12 of 24 passing for 190 yards with one passing touchdown and one rushing.
The Logan offensive show began with just 4:42 left in the first quarter. With great blocks from the offensive line, Prothro scrambled for a 13-yard touchdown run. Logan took a 21-0 lead with 9:42 left in the second quarter when Prothro found Ryan Bua on a 39-yard touchdown pass. Two minutes later, Long ripped off a 48-yard touchdown run after a Washington fumble that gave the Colts a 28-0 lead.
Logan's Damond Beasley took the second-half kickoff 70 yard for a 35-0 Logan lead. The final blow for Washington came on a 33-yard fumble recovery by Logan's Karsten Wethington who raced 33 yards for the score.
Final: Logan wins 45 - 8 |
