Fremont Symphony curtails season
Submitted By Caryl Docter
The Fremont Symphony will not present any full-orchestra concerts during the 2012-13 season due to the challenges of the recession and declining corporate/foundation grants. Steps are being taken to restructure the organization - curtailing all expenses and suspending our 2012-13 season, with the exception of the Anderson & Roe duo piano recital in February and the popular Children's Concerts in March. The Guild will continue to function and present recitals and other events to help raise funds for the orchestra.
Financial support from sponsors and donors is critical to re-emerge from this restructuring effort. You can help this succeed by making a financial contribution and by encouraging other fans of great music to support the Fremont Symphony.
As our plans develop, we will post the information on our website: www.fremontsymphony.org. |
