July 17, 2012 > Newark General Plan Update Newark General Plan Update Submitted By Terrence Grindall As a part of the General Plan Update process, students from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo have conducted a series of meetings, reviewed documents, surveyed the community and produced a document called the Preferred Growth Scenario. This document represents the recommendation by the team of master's degree students and their professors for the Newark General Plan. We will be holding a community meeting from 9 a.m. to noon on July 21 to present this document to the community and gather community input. This scenario is a key input into the formulation of the updated Newark General Plan. Please come and share your ideas. The General Plan serves as the "constitution for development", it guides the future development of the City.
