May 29, 2012 > Newark Unified selects its Teacher of the Year Newark Unified selects its Teacher of the Year Submitted By Pam Hughes, Principal Connie Piserchio has been selected as Newark Unified School District's 2012 Teacher of the Year. She teaches a 5/6 blended classroom at Lincoln Elementary School. Mrs. Piserchio has been at our school for six years and has taught as part of the Newark Unified School District for eight years. She is a wonderful teacher who is dedicated to the success of her students and was chosen by her colleagues because she is an inspiring educator who is always willing to go above and beyond to help her students and her colleagues. We are very fortunate to have her as part of our Lincoln community.
