Hayward Unified Open Enrollment
Submitted By Office of the Superintendent
"Open Enrollment" is the primary transfer option available for families in the Hayward Unified School District (H.U.S.D.) who wish their children to attend another HUSD school outside their school's attendance boundary. Open Enrollment allows parental choice for another school within the H.U.S.D. that has space to accept students from outside that attendance boundary. Some schools and grade levels will not have space available for transfer. A random unbiased lottery will be used when there are more requests for a school than there are spaces available.
Elementary Schools: Bowman, East Avenue, Eden Gardens, Eldridge, Fairview, Glassbrook, Harder, Longwood, Lorin Eden, Palma Ceia, Ruus, Schafer Park, Southgate, Treeview-Bidwell
