January 10, 2012 > AARP tax assistance AARP tax assistance Submitted By Donna Krehbiel AARP will offer Free Tax Assistance at the Castro Valley Library every Wednesday, beginning February 1, 2012 through April 11, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Learning Center. The program, jointly sponsored by the IRS and AARP, provides trained volunteers to assist with most all U.S. Federal and California State income tax preparation and e-filing. Appointments are required. The Library is accepting appointments now. You may call the Library Information Desk at (510) 667-7900 during normal open hours, or sign up in person. The Castro Valley Library is a branch of the Alameda County Library system. The Library is located at 3600 Norbridge Avenue and is wheel chair accessible.
