Carjacking suspect at-large

On the evening of December 7, 2011, a car was stolen from its owner at gunpoint in Milpitas. The Milpitas Police Department has been actively investigating the case since it occurred. Jarek Brown is the primary suspect in this case. On the morning of December 20th, at approx. 8:40 a.m., Milpitas Police Department Detectives and a local Fugitive Task Force were in San Jose and located Brown near Capitol Expressway and US 101. Brown fled in a vehicle resulting in a brief police vehicle pursuit. The suspect lost control of his vehicle and fled on foot in the area of Seven Trees Boulevard. No one was injured during the pursuit.
Milpitas Police Detectives requested assistance from the San Jose Police Department and the San Jose Police Department organized the search for Brown. Brown is still outstanding and the investigation is on-going.
