Union City seeks input on Draft Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan
Submitted By Carmela Campbell
The City of Union City is updating its Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan. The plan provides for a city-wide system of pedestrian and bicycle facilities and a variety of programs to allow for safe, efficient, and convenient walking and bicycling within the City. The City seeks public input on the draft plan.
A Planning Commission Study Session will be held on Thursday, December 1, at 7 p.m. and a Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) meeting will be held on December 6, at 5 p.m. to solicit input. The Union City Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee consists of community members who provide input on bicycle and pedestrian issues and are responsible for reviewing and providing feedback on the draft plan. All are encouraged to attend.
The plan is available on-line at www.UnionCity.org. Copies are also available for review at the Economic and Community Development Department located in City Hall or at the Union City Public Library.
Questions or requests for additional information should be directed to Carmela Campbell, Planning Manager, at (510) 675-5316.
