Tri-City Health Center is having its inaugural 5K Run/Walk and Health Fair on Saturday morning, November 5th, at Lake Elizabeth in Fremont's Central Park! The day begins with registration at 9 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk taking off at 10 a.m. Medals will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in five age divisions.
The Health Fair continues until 1 p.m., featuring wellness education booths, blood pressure screenings, children's activities, music, healthy snacks, and raffle prizes. Along with booths highlighting the services of Tri-City Health Center, there will be other community agencies and businesses on display. Proceeds of the race will go toward this year's Annual Fund Campaign, "Expanding Our Care", which includes retinopathy telemedicine, teledermatology, and childhood asthma initiatives.
Tri-City Health Center (TCHC) in Fremont, a nonprofit community-based health care clinic, is the primary safety net health care provider in southern Alameda County, serving everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
With the support of "Champion" sponsors, Kaiser Permanente and Fremont Bank Foundation, this event is off to a great beginning. For more information and registration, go to www.tri-cityhealth.org.
