October 4, 2011 > Occupation Has No Future Occupation Has No Future Submitted By Jane Bark In the fall of 2009, a group of U.S. veterans traveled to Israel/Palestine to meet with their Israeli counterparts in an effort to strengthen connections and share experiences. The film "Occupation Has No Future" uses this trip to study Israeli militarism, examine the occupation of the Palestinian West Bank, and explore the work of Israelis and Palestinians organizing against militarism and occupation. Presented by the Tri-City Documentaries Second Saturday Series, there will be a discussion following the film led by Henry Norr, former columnist with the SF Chronicle, human rights volunteer and Palestine advocate, which led to his firing in 2003. Norr was a member of the U.S. Boat to Gaza initiative this summer. Admission is free and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
