Submitted By Sgt Tim Campbell, Milpitas PD
On July 25, 2011 (Monday), at 2:33 a.m., Officer Peter Huang noticed a suspicious truck parked behind a closed building on McCandless Drive. Officer Huang investigated the matter further, found one suspect on the property and the suspect, who was identified as Flores, fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, it was learned that the suspect was attempting to steal copper wiring. The suspect found to be in possession of burglary tools and possession of methamphetamine. After speaking with the manager of the building, Officer Huang learned the suspect did not have permission to be on the property and did not have permission to remove the copper wire.
Mr. Jesse James Flores was arrested for attempted grand theft, prowling, possession of burglary tools and possession of a controlled substance. Flores was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
