Residential Burglary
At approximately 12:00 a.m., Milpitas police officers responded to a report of a burglary in the 400 block of Santa Rita Drive. The reporting party stated an unknown suspect entered his residence, sometime between 8:00 p.m. and midnight, while he was sleeping. Once inside, the suspect or suspects ransacked a few rooms and stole miscellaneous tools. Milpitas Police Officers were summoned to the residence and searched the area for the suspect. The suspect remains at-large. We would like to remind our residents to lock their doors and windows to minimize the possibility of another person unlawfully entering their residences. We strongly encourage residents and others visiting our community to report any suspicious circumstances, suspicious persons, or crimes in progress.
Anyone with any information regarding this investigation or other similar incidents is encouraged to call the Milpitas Police Department at (408) 586-2400.
