Walking town hall meeting to celebrate Earth Day

Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, the first urban National Wildlife Refuge established in the United States, is dedicated to preserving and enhancing wildlife habitat, protecting migratory birds, protecting threatened and endangered species and providing opportunities for wildlife-oriented recreation and nature study for the surrounding communities.
To celebrate Earth Day, California Senate Majority Leader Ellen Corbett, Tenth Senate District, will hold a "Walking Town Hall Meeting" on Saturday, April 2 at 10 a.m. A U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Park Ranger will lead the walk which will include an update on environmental legislation. The walk will start outside the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge at 9500 Thornton Avenue, Newark.
