March 18, 2011 > Newark Crime News Newark Crime News Submitted By Commander Bob Douglas, Newark PD On Friday March 11, Officer Warren arrested Moises Guerrero for vandalism following a foot pursuit. Guerrero was booked at Santa Rita Jail. A man was found dead in the E-Z-8 Motel on Saturday March 12. A maid located the deceased adult male in the bathroom. Cause of death is yet to be determined by County Coroner. During a traffic stop on Sunday, March 13, police arrested a 54-year-old man for possessing drugs. Officer Johnson recovered approximately a 1/2 ounce of Methamphetamine, digital scales and drug sales packaging material.
