Meal time is family time
By Meenu Gupta
Meal time is family time - that is the essence of workshops presented by Choices for Children for the past five years to parents and childcare providers. For over 30 years now, Choices For Children (CFC) has enriched children's lives through support and services to families and child care providers by providing innovative child care solutions to the community Another such workshop will be hosted on Wednesday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. entitled "Five Keys to Raising a Happy Healthy Eater." The program will focus on healthy feeding habits for a healthy child. Participants of this two-hour workshop will learn about feeding relationships and how it affects children's eating and food regulation. "The workshop is not a traditional nutrition class, it is a parenting class. We have trained over 1000 child care providers," said Choices for Children Operations Manager, Barbara Kasnic.
The program will be repeated in Spanish on Wednesday, March 16 at 6:30 pm. Space is limited; please contact Maria Lorenzana at (408) 280-2323 to register and learn how to make eating enjoyable for your family.
