High school opens new classrooms
On Tuesday, January 25th, with a huge grin, Student Body President Kemana Otosi easily handled a large pair of scissors to cut a red ribbon, officially opening a new high school building on the Fremont Christian School campus. A crisp, clear morning filled with music of the school's Dixieland Jazz Band greeted students, parents and officials as they anxiously waited for the transition between their old quarters in the "H" buildings to new, air-conditioned classrooms in the two-story addition.
Otosi recalled past school improvements as she progressed through her years at Fremont Christian and says that this is one of those additions she is able to take personal advantage of. Superintendent, Dr. Tricia Myer, was just as thrilled with the culmination of months of planning and construction. As the ribbon parted, students needed little urging to take possession of the facility. The new building features 19 additional classrooms and a new Choral Hall for the school's award-winning choir which will perform at New York's Lincoln Center in March. |
