Work Session Preparation for Regional Sustainable Communities Strategy
Consent Awarded contract to Sierra Mountain Construction in the amount of $249,000 for the D Street Reservoir Seismic Improvement Project. The Water System Capital Improvement Fund balance of $647,731 is adequate for the award of this contract.
Awarded contract to Auburn Constructors, Inc. for the Installation of Sudden Loss Valves at Various Locations Project in the amount of $483,300 and appropriated $280,000 from the Water System Capital Improvement Fund to complete the project. Following a seismic retro fit study, the city is fitting rapid, automatic shut-off valves (aka sudden loss valves) to prevent water loss from reservoirs for domestic use and firefighting and protect life and property in the event of a catastrophe, such as an earthquake.
Legislative Business Authorized 90-day extension of the Exclusive Negotiating Agreement with Urban Dynamic, LLC, for proposed development of 57 single-family homes at the residual Burbank School site (approximately 3.4 acres, bounded by B and C Streets and Filbert and Myrtle Streets).
