New Eagle Scout
Parsa Barhaghi of Scout Troop 125 in Fremont, CA and son of Bahman and Mahnaz Barhaghi, has earned the Eagle Scout award, the highest rank awarded by the Boy Scouts of America, on June 30, 2010. He completed his Eagle service project, which included building new picnic tables and benches, and restoring cabinets, for Tricity Homeless Shelter. His Eagle Scout award ceremony was held on November 9, 2010 in Chadbourn Elementary school.
Parsa began his scouting adventures as a Tiger Cub and progressed to Cub Scout Pack 153 under Ms. Janice Tipton's leadership. On his way to Eagle Scout, Parsa earned 21 merit badges and held leadership positions in Troop 125, including Patrol Leader and Troop Quartermaster.
Parsa currently is finishing up his senior year at Mission San Jose High School and is member of Warrier Football team.
Parsa and his family would like to thank the members of Chadbourne Elementary school, the City of Fremont, and Scoutmasters Mr. Wilson, Mr. Cummings, and Mr. Hemholz for many years of support of the Boy Scouts.
