December 21, 2010 > Newark man dies from stab wounds Newark man dies from stab wounds Submitted By Commander Robert Douglas, Newark PD Newark Police Officers responded to the intersection of Cedar Blvd. at Birch St. on Wednesday, December 15 at 3:42 p.m. where a 17-year old man was on the ground, bleeding. The victim, suffering from apparent stab wounds, died at the scene. Police learned that at least two males of unknown age, dressed in black clothing, wearing hoodie sweat shirts, were seen running from the area. The name of the victim will not be released due to his age. Officers from the Union City and Fremont Police Departments responded to assist in cordoning off the area, searching for witnesses and suspect information. The case is under investigation.
