Young students perform Ali Baba play

December 4 was an eventful day in the life of some dedicated four to six year-old Fremont children. It was the day that their play, "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves," was staged. First grade students Namita Nair, Naina Kalra, Trisha Dharmapuri, Nivedha Srinivasan, Deeya Jain, Aakash and pre-schooler Bhoomika Sidda were the stars of the play. This was a presentation of My Unique Expressions Drama Club. This is the group's second production and was attended by more than 60 people at Fremont Community of Christ Church. It was a tremendous opportunity for these children to demonstrate how a group of young children have the capacity to learn and dramatize lines of dialogue, and then present it in front of an audience with such poise! Fremont has talent!
This is a non-profit club with all plays written, cast and directed by Preetha Nair. My Unique Expressions Drama Club meets once a week and is free of charge. For further information please contact Preetha Nair @ nair.preethah@gmail.com. The next session starts February 1. |
