Richard King performs at Christmas Cabaret
Well known Bay Area attorney, Las Vegas entertainer, past world President of Rotary International Richard King will present "A Christmas Cabaret" on Saturday night, December 11. The performance is free to the public, one of 100 free performances being presented to the public during the month of December.
King, a longtime resident of Fremont and a former Fremont Planning Commissioner, has been a practicing trial lawyer for 48 years in both Utah and California. He has performed professionally in leading roles of many West Coast productions of Broadway Musical Comedies; among them "The Music Man", Oklahoma!", "South Pacific", "Guys and Dolls" and "Finian's Rainbow." King performed in his own shows at the Las Vegas Desert Inn and has sung across the country in many venues.
A much sought after public speaker, King travels the globe addressing Rotary Conferences and reviewing humanitarian projects. He has long been involved in the Rotary club campaign to eliminate polio from the world.
King is married to noted Bay Area dancer, choreographer and dance line captain, Cherie King. They have two sons and were just presented with their first grandchild seven months ago. King's longtime accompanist on the piano will be Steve Duarte, who King refers to as the "best in the business".
