Holiday Food and Toy Drive

As has become an annual tradition, The Fremont Fire Department is beginning its Holiday Food and Toy Drive. Each holiday season, the Fremont Fire Department accepts donations of non-perishable food and new, unwrapped toys at all ten operating fire stations (Fire Station 11 temporarily closed), and the Fire Administrative Office.

Tri-City Volunteers, Inc. distributes the received donations to families in the Tri-City area. This process is assisted by the efforts of Fremont Fire Department volunteers. These donations help all local families to share in the spirit of the holidays.

While these donations are important during the holiday season, the need for food and monetary donations to assist the Tri-City Volunteers in their mission of helping is ongoing through out the year. Support from government agencies has decreased due to the current Bay Area economic downturn.

All community members are encouraged to do what they can to assist. Despite these economic challenges the donation drive has continued to have great support from our generous community. We will begin collecting donations on Thursday, November 25th, and the drive will end on Thursday, December 16, 2010.

Thank you for your support!
