Newark Fire notch two clean sheets

Newark Fire, an Under-10 girls travel soccer club, posted two shutouts in its previous two matches, defeating Union City Premier, 5-0, and Lamorinda United, 4-0.
Against Union City, Hannah Gamez scored three goals and added one assist while Angelique Valenzuela and Sam Ocegueda tallied the other two goals. Natalia Sanchez and Gamez both had assists. Sanchez and Bri Motta also had solid games for the Fire.
Against Lamorinda, Angelique Valunzuela tallied two goals, while Gamez and Aracelli Hinojos tallied the other two. Rachel Bruckner chipped in with an assist. In defense, Trinity Castillo, Sara Buffey and Isabella Garica played excellent to preserve the shutout, while Sara Jones, Bruckner and Kailey Alcosiba played very well in midfield. Goalkeepers Lissette Mason and Motta played well to preserve the clean sheets. |
