Vehicle stop leads to drug arrest

Two people were arrested after police found them with drugs. Milpitas Police Officer Mohammed Ali stopped a tan 2000 GMC Sierra pick-up truck on Ranch Drive near North McCarthy Boulevard for displaying an expired registration sticker, but located methamphetamine in the vehicle. According to Officer Gene Smith, Milpitas PD, approximately 112 grams of suspected methamphetamine and other evidence of sales of controlled substances were found. The driver, Mr. Waldo Del Angel, and passenger, Mr. Francisco Hernandez, were arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale, and transportation of a controlled substance.
