Veterans Dinner

Veterans, their friends, family and supporters are invited to a pork chop and steak dinner on Monday, October 4, 2010 to honor the Tuskegee airmen and WWII veterans.
Special guests will include Tuskegee airmen, Pearl Harbor survivor Mickey Ganitch, veterans of Iwo Jima and a member of the 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles), which trained with the 82nd Airborne Division at RAF North Witham in Lincolnshire (United Kingdom) before leaving for the Normandy Landings on D-Day.
The American Legion Post 649 and VFW District 14 Castro Valley Post 9601 will host the dinner at Castro Valley Moose Lodge, Castro Valley.
Anyone wishing to learn more about the Nation's past, about those who made history and to discover who resides in their local communities is encouraged to attend.
Advance ticket purchases ($15 per person) are preferred though tickets will also be available on the door.
