Police looks for robbery suspect

By Meenu Gupta

Fremont Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery at Patelco Credit Union, located at 5166 Mowry Avenue. The suspect is described as a black male adult, 6'2" tall. Wearing a black motorcycle helmet and armed with a handgun, the suspect entered the financial institution and demanded cash from the teller. The suspect fled on a silver motorcycle.

During a check of the area, Officer Boyd located a possible suspect on northbound Highway 880, near Tennyson. Officer Boyd attempted to stop the vehicle and a short pursuit ensued, but due to traffic conditions, the suspect was able to evade the officer and the pursuit was terminated. Officer Boyd was able to get a license plate and eventually contacted the male at his home on Ravensbourne Park. However, the subject was not related to the robbery; the suspect is still at large.

Strong-armed robbery
Another case of a strong-armed robbery occurred at 39435 Fremont Boulevard. A white adult male assaulted the victim and took $25 from the register after he was unsatisfied with a hair cut and the victim refused to refund his money.
