Musicians wanted
Submitted By Jeff Yaeger, Director, Milpitas Community Concert Band
The City of Milpitas Community Concert Band (MCCB) kicks off its 18th season on September 15, 2010. MCCB hosts three family-style concerts throughout the year (fall, spring and summer) and is a musical presence at the City of Milpitas' Tree Lighting and the Veterans and Memorial Day Ceremonies.
MCCB is always looking for new band members. This wind ensemble meets from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday evenings at the Milpitas Community Center.
Musicians with at least two years' experience in woodwind, brass and percussion instruments are invited to join. The annual membership fee is just $30 for the 2010-11 season. New members may join at any time during the season. We welcome students, adults and senior citizens to come and make music.
Even if you have not touched that old clarinet in the garage for decades, dust it down and join us. We are a relaxed, pleasant group of people who simply enjoy making music.
We welcome the following instruments - Flute, any Clarinet, Bassoon, any Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone Horn, Euphonium, Tuba and Percussion.
