Ganapati Mahotsav
Submitted By Deepak Chhabra
A week long celebration of Lord Ganesh with religious and cultural events will start Saturday, September 11 at the Fremont Hindu Temple. Bay Area Telugu Association, Maharashtra Mandal of the Bay Area, and Hindu Swayam Sevak Sangh host the celebration of Ganapati Mahotsav for the first time ever in the Bay Area.
The Lord Ganesha idol is coming to Fremont Hindu Temple from Sidhi Vinayak Temple in India. It is the first time ever that the Ganapati idol has been donated to any temple. The three foot tall marble idol weighs around 175 kg, or 385 lbs. The public is invited to the grand celebration of "Ganapati Mahotsav." Donations are welcome.
We thank Siddivinayak trustee, Shri Pravin Naik, and all other trustees for their support and hard work in Mumbai, and Sandeep Deokule of the Bay Area.
