Bridges to Jobs

Out of work? Looking for employment? Bridges to Jobs invites you to their third annual Job Acquisitions Skills Workshop on Saturday, September 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Centerville Presbyterian Church campus located at 4360 Central Avenue, Fremont.

Those attending this event will be provided with valuable and timely job search information through an open hour facilitated discussion of audience questions with a panel of working human resources professionals, and can obtain answers to current trends in interviewing, favored resume formats, current hot interview questions and more.

Attend workshop sessions on the following topics: Background Checks, Body Language, Creating an Accomplishments Portfolio, Phone Interviews, Starting Your Own Business, Meet with a Career Consultant and a Job Developer - Open Session.

A pizza lunch hosted and sponsored by Bridges to Jobs will provide conference participants ample opportunity to network with other attendees, introduce themselves to the human resource panel, and talk with the afternoon workshop session presenters.

Walk-in registration and check-in on the day of the workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. Registration is $10 online or at the door. Scholarships are available for those in need and may be requested up to the date of the workshop.

You are also invited to attend our general meetings on Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the church camps, Room E201. We suggest you come a bit early and stay after to network. We also encourage participants to bring along someone who can support you during this trying time.
