Free yoga classes in town
By Meenu Gupta
Handling the daily grind of worldly, social and family responsibilities leaves us exasperated and stressed out. Yoga has a proven effect on calming the mind, where all stress prevails, and thus bringing harmony to the body. Free Yoga classes will be offered at Fremont Hindu Temple as part of "Yogathon" - a nationwide campaign to promote health and natural living. The event is sponsored by the Hindu American Seva Charities (HASC) in partnership with leading spiritual organizations and teachers across the United States. Locally, "Yogathon" is being hosted by The Art of Living Foundation and the Fremont Hindu Temple.
"Both beginners and those with moderate expertise will benefit. The event, though focused on youth, is open to everyone and entirely free," said Deepak Chhabra. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat. For more information please contact Deepak Chhabra at (510) 299 9771 or write to deepakchhabra@pacbell.net
