Three suspects arrested for residential burglary

By Meenu Gupta

Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a daytime burglary that occurred at Ontario Road in Milpitas early this month. The three subjects are age 15 and Milpitas residents.

The victim called the Police while one of the suspects attempted to enter her residence through a second story window. The suspect fled once confronted by the homeowner; a witness in the area observed three to four suspects running from the victim's home.

Milpitas Police later found suspects matching the descriptions provided by the victim at the community pool in Folsom Circle. All three boys have been booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall. "At least one of the juveniles arrested was involved in four other residential burglaries, in Milpitas. The investigations are still on-going," said Sergeant Raj Maharaj, Milpitas PD.

Milpitas Police would like to remind citizens to immediately notify the police department when you witness suspicious activity, a burglary or any other crime is in progress. Anyone with any information regarding this investigation or other similar incidents is encouraged to call the Milpitas Police Department at (408) 586-2400. Information can be given anonymously by calling (408) 586-2500 or online at www.ci.milpitas.ca.gov.
