Suspect arrested in attempted residential burglary Newark Police arrested a suspect on Tuesday, August 10, for an attempted residential burglary. The victim arrived at her house on Cherry Street to see a burglar in her residence. She got a look at the burglar through the window and called the police from a neighbor's residence. Sgt. Carroll spotted and stopped a suspect matching the description provided by the homeowner. The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Ricardo Banuelos and was arrested.
Attempted carjacking Three male suspects attacked a victim as he sat in his car in front of his home on Crestmont. The suspects pointed a shotgun at the victim and fled with the victim's car keys in a tan car, similar to a Buick or Lincoln town car. The Victim's car was not taken. Two rounds were fired by the suspects into the front door as they drove pass the home and fled. |
