Fremont Crime Report

DUI arrest
Officer Martinez investigated a hit and run case on Thursday, August 5. The driver was extremely intoxicated and crashed her blue Ford Escort at Fremont and Sundale Drive. A witness saw her "uncorking" a bottle of wine and drive northbound on Fremont Boulevard towards Mowry Avenue. Sgt. Harvey located the suspect vehicle an hour later at Hansen and Holly and found that the driver was hearing impaired. Officer Hanrahan provided sign language and the woman was arrested for DUI.

Man robbed of wallet
Two suspects robbed a man of his wallet on Friday, August 6 at the 39000 block of Sundale Drive.
One of the two suspects approached the victim and placed him in a headlock while the other suspect demanded money. The suspects fled after taking the victim's wallet. The suspects are both described as black males, 15-20 years old, with slim builds and were last seen wearing black hooded sweatshirts.

In a similar incident, an adult male was robbed of his wallet while he was walking from a party in the 4200 block of Central Avenue to his home on Sundale Drive. No description of the suspects is available.

Cop injured
A Police Officer was driving through the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Stevenson Boulevard, when his vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle that failed to stop for a red light. The Officer was treated and released from a local hospital.

Man assaulted at Central Avenue
Three male suspects who identified themselves as Sureno gang members, pointed a gun at a victim at 4200 Central Avenue. The victim stated that the suspects asked him what gang he was affiliated with. The victim told them he was not part of a gang. The suspects fled when the Police arrived. The suspect who pointed the gun has been identified as a well known juvenile Sureno gang member.

Burglary
Three suspects were arrested for stealing items from Walmart-Loss Prevention. The subjects were detained as they were trying to leave in a vehicle. Stolen property from Walmart and Home Depot was located in the vehicle.

On Sunday, August 8, suspects stole computer components from Synnex Information Technologies located on the 44000 block of Nobel Drive. A suspect pointed a gun at a security guard who was conducting patrol checks and tied-up the guard in the parking lot. Some other suspects eventually breakthrough the roll up door, entered the building and tripped the alarm. All suspects were wearing dark clothing and masks.
