Child Safety Day helps educate parents and children

Child Safety Day is designed to teach kids about safety and ensure they stay safe while having fun. The event will be held in Fremont Commons on Saturday, August 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free child identification kits with free fingerprinting will be provided.
The event promises to be a day full of fun and education. "We are inviting all our neighbors and residents to come to the event and support it. Our Company will be issuing Free Child ID's will be given to the kids," said Claudia Duarte, Store Manager, Check Center. The first 50 kids will also receive backpacks with school supplies.
"We also will prepare some kids activities and we will count with the participation of our Police Department, City of Fremont, Block Buster, Quiznos, Body Klinique and Dentist Office," she said. Police Officers will share ideas and tips about safety with the kids. "Also we will be offering free face painting, animal balloons, raffles, refreshments and other kid's activities," said Duarte.
