During a parole search at the local Days Inn Motel located on 270 South Abbott Avenue in Milpitas several hundred blank checks, forged checks, and fraudulent identification cards were located in the room.
On Monday, July 19 at approximately 11:40 p.m. an extensive search was conducted during which an officer saw several credit cards on a table. He became suspicious when he noticed the names on the credit cards did not match with any of the occupants in the room. Several computers, printers, and laminators were also located in that room. A stolen vehicle was also located in the parking lot which was found to be linked to one of the suspects.
37-year-old Joshua Michael Darosa, a parolee at large, was arrested for several charges involving fraud, possession of stolen property, and an outstanding warrant. 31-year-old San Jose resident Charles Sebastian Territo was arrested for possession of stolen property, auto theft, and being under the influence of a controlled substance. 39-year-old Janelle Louise Orlando was arrested for an outstanding warrant. All three suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
The case is still under investigation, and detectives have been able to identify at least two victims of identity theft related to this case.
