Two suspects robbed a woman of her purse. The incident happened on Thursday, July 22 at approximately 4:06 p.m. when the victim was walking southbound from the Northgate Center, along the east sidewalk. The only available description of the suspects is that they were Black males on bicycles. The suspects fled westbound on Ferry from Fremont Boulevard. The case is under investigation.
Another purse snatching incident took place on Tuesday, July 27 at 39324 Argonaut Way where a 49-year-old woman was robbed of her purse. A White or Hispanic male in his early twenties snatched the purse when the victim was walking in the parking lot near Trader Joe's.
Man arrested for being drunk in public
During the summer music festival at Central Park, a man picked a fight with another concert attendee. Officers assisted park rangers in taking the subject into custody for being drunk in public. Officer Macciola took him to Santa Rita Jail.
Two men, one 19-year-old and the other 23-year-old, were arrested for battery and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The incident happened on 4600 block of Fanwood Terrace on Tuesday, July 27. Neighbors called Police reporting a disturbance that escalated into a fight and moved from the yard into the street. Officer Merrill investigated the case.
On Tuesday, July 27, three black males between the ages of 18-21 years old robbed a man of his cell phone and cash. The incident happened in the area of BART, near McDonald's located at 38860 Fremont Boulevard. According to the victim the suspects wore dark colored "hoodies". They stated they had a gun, but the victim did not actually see one. Officer Johnson is investigating the case.
