Auto theft At approximately 9 p.m. on Friday, July 2 a 2003 Honda Accord was stolen from the 400 block of Clauser Drive in Milpitas. Daly City Police called Milpitas PD on Wednesday, July 7th, to report finding the car stripped in their city.
In another case last week, theft of over $400 was reported. A 55 year-old male victim parked his car in front of his residence. He later noticed that the red hardtop of the Mazda Miata had been stolen. Suspect is at large and no description is available.
Petty theft at Kohls store A suspect was arrested for a petty theft at the Kohls store located at 1150 Great Mall Drive. Men's shorts, shoes and shirt valued at approximately $100 were reported stolen by Kohl's loss prevention agent. The suspect was initially spotted picking up a pair of shoes in store and returning them to store's customer service, for purchase credit. Purchase credit from the returned shoes was used to buy other clothing items. The store agent saw the suspect add another shoplifted item to the bag of "purchased goods" and apprehended him before he could leave.
Building theft Last week, an unknown amount of scaffolding, valued at several thousand dollars was stolen from Safeway located at 231 Houret Drive. According to the manager, the suspect, whose description is not available, cut a padlock on the gate to steal the scaffolding.
Dine and dash Two male suspects, both approximately 23-25 years-old, ordered food and left without paying a bill of $39.20 at Denny's Restaurant located at West Calaveras Boulevard. No arrests have been made so far. |
